LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (KRON) – When the Frozen Ever After boat ride opens at Disney’s Epcot theme park, guests will sail past audio-animatronic “Frozen” characters as they recreate scenes from the popular movie.

The Orlando Sentinel reports the ride is expected to open in early 2016, replacing the Maelstrom log ride in the Norway pavilion. The new ride uses the existing Viking ships and water flume with renovated scenes from the make-believe kingdom of Arendelle.

“Guests will be transported to the Winter in Summer Celebration where Queen Elsa embraces her magical powers and creates a winter-in-summer day for the entire kingdom,” Disney said on its DisneyParks blog.

“‘Frozen Ever After,” is an adventure fit for the entire family that will take guests through the kingdom of Arendelle. The fantastic Disney storytelling combined with new technology and favorite moments and music from the film will make guests feel like they stepped into the magical world of “Frozen,'” Disney said.

Characters from the popular 2013 movie and the animated short “Frozen Fever,” will be part of this new attraction, along with the spectacular sights inspired by the film, according to Disney.Information from: Orlando Sentinel, Disney Blogs and Associated Press
