SANTA ROSA (KRON) — Sonoma County sheriff’s deputies rearrested a 21-year-old Santa Rosa man accused of additional child sexual assault charges, according to Sgt. Cecile Focha.

Christopher Harmon had been arrested in December for allegedly committing sex crimes with a child, Focha said. Harmon, an after school aide at the Summerfield Waldorf School in Santa Rosa, was arrested in December on suspicion of committing sex acts with a 4-year-old child.

Harmon was arrested, booked and posted $100,000 bail, and he was not in contact with children or back on the school campus after his release, Focha said.

Sheriff’s detectives continued their investigation and determined there had been two additional but older victims of crimes that did not occur while Harmon was out on bail, Focha said.

Harmon appeared in Sonoma County Superior Court Thursday on the original charges from December, and he was arrested outside the courtroom on new felony charges, Focha said.

He was booked under $200,000 bail in the Sonoma County Jail for rape of an intoxicated victim, attempted rape, oral copulation by force, possession of child pornography, unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor and annoying a child, Focha said.

He is scheduled to be arraigned on the new charges Wednesday afternoon.
