ANTIOCH (KRON) — An group of residents in Antioch are demanding change, clashing with the city about a speed bump that was removed from a dangerous street Monday morning.

The speed bump was installed and paid for by the neighborhood, after one of their own, Tim Hudson, was killed by a hit-and-run driver.

The mother of the man who was killed, Linda Hudson, said that she had asked for the speed bumps to be installed, but she was told that the city couldn’t afford the speed bumps.

Tuesday, the neighbors filed two petitions. One to have Antioch mayor, Wade Harper, impeached. The second was to have the speed bumps reinstalled.

KRON 4 tried to contact city leaders, but they did not respond to any requests.
