CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) – Chesapeake Police have confirmed that a locally stationed pilot has been charged for allegedly recording a 16-year-old girl in a dressing room.
Police spokesperson Kelly O’Sullivan confirmed Friday that Jake Baker, 31, is accused of recording the girl without permission in a dressing room at an Old Navy store on Greenbrier Parkway in Chesapeake.
Baker is a pilot in the U.S. Navy, is assigned to Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA 106) and is stationed at Oceana Naval Air Station. Navy officials say he is still active duty and enlisted in December 2006.
Baker was arrested on June 15 and is charged with unlawfully filming, videotaping or photographing a minor, court records show.
He is also facing a misdemeanor charge for invading the girl’s privacy. Police say there was no peephole and that Baker filmed under or over the door of the dressing room.
Baker is due in court for a preliminary hearing in September.
