(KRON)—A nationwide Comcast outage has affected customers here in the Bay Area Monday night and Tuesday morning, according to Comcast officials.
More than 4,200 outages have been reported nationwide to Comcast since 9 p.m. on Monday.
Comcast has released at statement about the outage.
“Early this morning, our engineers detected a hardware issue that impacted voice, video and Internet services for a subset of customers across the country for several hours,” the company said in a statement.
“During this time, customers also may have had difficulty reaching us by phone. Our engineers quickly identified and resolved the issue, and services are returning to normal. We appreciate our customers’ patience as we worked to fix this and are sorry that we inconvenienced them,” the statement said.
