The woman convicted in a killing involving a YouTube stunt gone wrong was sentenced on Wednesday in South Dakota.

Monalisa Perez admitted shooting her boyfriend, Pedro Ruiz, in the chest with a 50-caliber handgun.

The couple thought a book would stop the bullet, but it did not.

Perez was sentenced, but Ruiz’s family is not happy.

She will likely only serve three months behind bars and the other three months on house arrest.
