Federal prosecutors have filed more than two dozen charges, including hate crime charges, against the Pennsylvania synagogue gunman.
Authorities say 46-year-old Robert Bowers stormed a Pittsburgh synagogue Saturday morning and opened fire killing 11 people, and wounded six others, including four police officers.
The attack is believed to be the deadliest on the Jewish community in the United States.
“Today all over Pennsylvania, men and women in similar places of worship are in prayer for our Jewish brothers and sisters,” said during a press conference.
Authorities received calls of the active shooter in the Tree of Life synagogue just before 10 a.m. on Saturday morning.
Police are still investigating what happened and why it happened.
Officials are saying the synagogue will be closed for at least a week and ask the community to come together for support.
Candlelight vigils were held Saturday evening across the country to honor the lives lost.
