SAN FRANCISCO (CNN) – Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman will soon learn his fate.

The 62-year-old is expected to be sentenced Wednesday.

Guzman was convicted on 10 federal criminal counts earlier this year.

They included engaging in a continuing criminal enterprise and international distribution of drugs.

He was also accused of ordering or taking part in the murder and torture of more than two dozen people.

He faces life in prison.
