The Internal Revenue Service has announced that taxpayers have an extra day to file their 2017 tax returns.
The new tax deadline is midnight, your time zone, on April 18, 2018.
The new deadline follows a reported failure earlier Tuesday in which the online payment system was malfunctioning.
The IRS did not immediately provide an explanation for the failure.
