LEE COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — A devastating storm tore through parts of Alabama earlier this month. 22 people died when a tornado hit the community. But there are also impressive stories of survival that are still surfacing.

One of those stories is going viral thanks to Chaplain with Jason Smith Billy Graham’s Rapid Response team.

A family survived the tornado by hunkering down in their grandma’s prayer closet, the only part of the house still standing.

He posted about it on Facebook.

Listen to me please. I just left a family who survived the tornado in this house and the only left standing is this closet. It’s the grandmother’s prayer closet, and the whole family survived. Are you kiddin me!!! My God is awesome!!! Shout somebody! –Jason–
