A Minnesota police department got a good laugh this week after they received a call about a potentially “deranged person” person who was standing outside in the cold.
The Jordan Police Department said on Thursday that officers were called to check on the welfare of a man who was hugging a pillow, standing motionless outside of a home. It was below freezing and he was not wearing a coat.
Police arrived only to find a pretty realistic cardboard cutout of Michael Lindell, the CEO and inventor of MyPillow.
“Those cardboard cutouts sure can look real from a distance and the caller certainly was not wanting to get too close thinking who is this deranged person standing outside in the cold hugging a pillow; always better to call the police,” police said on Facebook.
MyPillow is headquartered in Chaska, which is about 15 miles north of Jordan, according to CNBC.
Lindell, a Minnesota native, got word of the incident and shared an article about it on Twitter.
