A Camas woman who allegedly stabbed her boyfriend with a samurai sword panicked when she called 911, thinking she had killed him.

“I just stabbed my boyfriend,” she said. “I stabbed him. He’s dead. I think he’s dead.”

According to court documents, Emily Javier bought the sword to kill her boyfriend, who she believed was cheating on her.

Alex Lovell, 29, was found lying curled up in the bedroom bleeding and blood spatter was found on the walls. He survived his injuries, but Javier told the 911 dispatcher she thought he was dead.

“You need to hurry. I think he’s dead,” she said.

She told the dispatcher she stabbed him, “everywhere.”

Lovell was recently released from the hospital and is recovering from his injuries.

He told KOIN 6 News that he had 26 wounds and doctors had to reattach 3 of his fingers.

Lovell said him and Javier broke up once over their 2-year relationship, but eventually got back together. However, he said Javier’s jealousy has always been an issue.

Through Facebook Messenger, Lovell said, “We would have the same conversation/argument about once a month. This was the ‘jealousy’ argument. I named it because we were literally saying the exact same thing to each other every time this argument happened.”

Javier believed Lovell was cheating on her and using Tinder, but according to Lovell, he wasn’t.

“I tried to explain that just because someone likes your photo or follows you on Twitter doesn’t mean you’re sleeping with them,” Lovell said.

Javier’s trial is set for May 7. During her first court appearance, she pleaded not guilty.
