RIO RANCHO, N.M. (KRQE) – The Sandoval County Sheriff’s Office says the two bodies found west of Rio Rancho are the missing teen boys from Albuquerque.
Collin Romero, 15, and Ahmed Lateef, 14, disappeared on Dec. 16 after a Snapchat video showed them being beaten, bloody and with broken bones.
The sheriff’s office found the two bodies in the mesa area west of Rio Rancho on Saturday.
Officials say investigators found clothing that showed evidence of a violent crime.
OMI has identified the bodies as Romero and Lateef.
The cause of death is still being investigated.
