NAPA (KRON) — A bomb threat that forced the Napa Superior Court to be evacuated has been cleared Thursday, officials said.

Someone made a bomb threat by calling a court clerk in the courthouse building at 1125 Third St. around 9:25 a.m., Napa County sheriff’s Capt. Keith Behlmer said.

The clerk then called the sheriff’s office and the building was evacuated.

About a dozen bailiffs conducted a search for about 30 minutes but did not find any sign of a bomb.

The building was cleared to reopen by 10:56 a.m.

Employees have been allowed to reenter the building and court has resumed.
