SAN JOSE (KRON) — A business in the South Bay has been targeted by thieves twice in the New Year, according to the owner.
Josh Kroman repairs and restores fine watches in San Jose. His 3-year-old business has started out the New Year being victimized by burglars twice in the first two weeks.
“We had a break-in robbery on New Year’s Eve, and a second attempt two nights ago,” Kroman said.
Josh has a significant security and surveillance system, but it broke his heart to watch what the intruder did to his place of business.
“We suffered pretty significant property damage,” Kroman said.” “They smashed in our front door, and they smashed in a large, glass door in our lobby. They were able to enter the workshop. And luckily we have very rigorous security procedures, so all our valuable watches and customer work is locked away at night.”
San Jose police have opened a case file, one of dozens even in the first few days of the new year.
“I just hope that the faces of these guys can be put out there for as many people to see and hopefully they are apprehended…,” Kroman said.
