OAKLAND (KRON) — Two suspects who are booked in jail for the murder of an Alameda County Sheriff’s volunteer have been identified.

According to a former co-worker of Karla Ramirez-Segoviano, both Laura Rodgers and Curtys Entoine Taylor are under arrest facing murder charges, and are currently being held at the Alameda County Jail.

According to the Alameda County Inmate Locator, Laura Rodgers and Curtys Entoine Taylor were both arrested on murder charges on November 3 and 4 for the homicide of 21-year-old San Leandro resident Karla Ramirez-Segoviano.

Ramirez-Segoviano was reported missing on Wednesday by her family after she was last seen around 10:00 p.m. when she dropped off a friend in San Leandro on 136th Avenue.

According to Oakland Police, Ramirez-Segoviano’s body was discovered Thursday at 11:59 a.m. in Arroyo-Viejo park in the 7700 block of Krause Avenue in Oakland.

On Friday Oakland Police said Ramirez suffered blunt force trauma, multiple stab wounds and burn marks on the upper portion of her body.

After following up on leads Rodgers and Taylor were taken into custody and after questioning they were placed under arrest.

Oakland Police confirm Rodgers, 23, and Ramirez-Segoviano were friends.

Taylor, 23, was arrested in Oakland approximately at 2:00 a.m. on November 4 for murder charges as well.

Rodgers will be arraigned in court on Monday, November 7 at 9:00 a.m., and Taylor will be arraigned Tuesday, November 8 at 9:00 a.m.
