Muni night service between Embarcadero, West Portal stations to reopen

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Muni subway night service will reopen this weekend, just as Super Bowl festivities are getting ready to begin.

Trains will run between the Embarcadero and West Portal stations from 5 a.m. to 1 a.m.


Night service had been shut down since July to allow crews to replace radio systems and emergency blue light telephones.

However, the bus shuttle service between St. Francis Circle and Folsom Street will be suspended.

The remaining work will be done in the early morning hours from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m., Muni officials said. For information on how to get around the city while Super Bowl events are occurring, go to www.sfmta.com/sb50.
