SAN JOSE (BCN) — A three-car collision on state Highway 87 in San Jose this morning sent two people to the hospital, a California Highway Patrol spokesman said Tuesday.

Officers responded to a report of a collision on northbound Highway 87 south of the Curtner Avenue off-ramp around 6:30 a.m., CHP Officer Ross Lee said.

Responding officers learned a Ford F-150 rear-ended a Honda Accord, which was pushed into a Dodge Charger, Lee said.

The collision blocked traffic and all three cars were moved to the right shoulder about 15 minutes later, CHP officials said.

Emergency responders and tow truck crews were sent to the scene, according to the CHP.

The Honda driver, a pregnant woman, was transported to a hospital as a precaution, Lee said.

The Dodge driver, a man, was also sent to a hospital for complaint of pain to his neck and back, according to Lee.
