CLOVERDALE (BCN) — Police in Cloverdale are advising residents of a mountain lion spotted near the corner of South Foothill Boulevard and Hot Springs Road earlier this week.
According to police, the mountain lion was spotted on a hillside in the area, and is the third sighting this year.
Mountain lions are most active during dusk and dawn, and police are warning those who live and walk in the area to be alert and to avoid walking alone.
Any future sightings should be immediately reported to the California Department of Fish and Game at (707) 944-5531, as well as local law enforcement.
