PALO ALTO (KRON) — A motorcyclist was killed Thursday morning in an accident on Highway 101 in Redwood City, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident happened at 9:16 a.m. on northbound Hwy 101 near Oregon Expressway and involved a truck and a motorcycle.
A motorcyclist was traveling between through the two far left lanes and collided with a Chevrolet Equinox in the leftmost lane, CHP officials said.
The motorcyclist lost control of the bike, was ejected and landed on the road, according to the CHP.
The motorcyclist was then run over by a flatbed truck and was pronounced dead at the scene, CHP officials said.
