PLEASANT HILL (BCN) — A motorcyclist suffered minor injuries Thursday morning when he crashed while swerving to avoid another car on southbound Interstate Highway 680 in Pleasant Hill, California Highway patrol officials said.
The crash was first reported at 7:59 a.m. on Highway 680 near Monument Boulevard.
The rider was traveling in the far left lane on a black Harley Davidson when a driver next to him swerved to the left.
The motorcyclist swerved left to avoid a collision and crashed into the center-divider wall, CHP Officer Brandon Correia said.
The motorcyclist, a man in his late 20s from Pleasant Hill, was ejected from the bike and was taken to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek with a complaint of pain.
The other driver involved did not hit the motorcycle and kept going as the motorcyclist crashed.
Officers are interviewing witnesses to try to identify the vehicle, Correia said.
