LONG BEACH (AP) — Police have identified the mother and 4-year-old daughter who were shot to death near their Long Beach home.
Police said Sunday that 26-year-old Carina Mancera and her daughter, Jennabel Anaya, were gunned down while walking to their home.
The shootings late Saturday night are being investigated as murders.
Police are asking witnesses to come forward.
The two were shot while walking from their car with the girl’s father.
The mother died at the scene, and the girl died from her wounds at a hospital Sunday morning.
