SAN JOSE (KRON) — After multiple sexual assault victims came forward to the San Jose Police Department, officers were able to arrest a Morgan Hill sex offender.

On July 19, the San Jose Police Department responded to a report of sexual assault that had occurred in San Jose. The female had been victimized multiple times in one evening while unconscious by sex offender Damou Evans, a 46-year-old of Morgan Hill.

The San Jose Police Department Sexual Assault Unit investigated the incident and ultimately arrested Events in August.

After SJPD released the arrest information, seven additional victims came forward.

By the additional victims coming forward, the original complaint was amended to include a multi-victim enhancement, potentially exposing the suspect to a life sentence.
