More than 12,000 people across the Bay Area were without power Tuesday due to a major storm pummelling the area with heavy rain and gusty winds.
Around 3 p.m. PG&E reported that nearly 4,000 customers remained without power.
As of 4:40 p.m. there were more than 2,000 customers still without power.
PG&E reported an outage update of 3,518 without power as of 7:45 p.m.
As of 10 p.m., 3,227 were still without power.
The company says they safely restored power to 10,262 customers that were affected in the Half Moon Bay area. The cause of the outage remains under investigation, but the storm appears to be a likely role.
PG&E says it has activated several of its local emergency centers across the Bay in order to respond to outages safely and quickly.

- North Bay: 3,311
- San Francisco: 66
- Peninsula: 7
- East Bay: 92
- South Bay: 48
- Total Bay Area: 3,518
