SAN RAMON (KRON)—The mom of the 3-year-old boy killed in a DUI crash in San Ramon has been released from the hospital.

Crystal Manoiki of San Ramon has been released from John Muir Medical Center.

Manoiki was taken to the hospital in critical condition on Friday after the crash on northbound I-680 Friday afternoon.

Manoiki’s 3-year-old son Elijah Dunn died in that same crash.

Her two other children were in the car at the time of the collision. The 11-year-old boy and the 1-year-old girl have already been released from Oakland Children’s Hospital.

Manoiki pulled over on the freeway when her car ran out of gas. A white Toyota Sequoia crashed into Manoiki’s stalled car.

39-year-old Yarenit Liliana Malihan of Pleasanton has been identified as the driver that caused the crash.

Malihan is the wife of an Alameda County sheriff’s deputy.

KRON4 has learned Malihan had previously been arrested for another DUI and child endangerment incident.
