Bartow police have issued an arrest warrant for a mother who is wanted on a charge of aggravated manslaughter after police say her 14-year-old child died from a methamphetamine overdose.
Police are seeking the public’s help in locating Audra Watson-Pender, 39.
Police said the victim’s daughter ingested methamphetamine she found in her mother’s bedroom on Friday.
She allegedly suffered from the overdose for six hours before receiving medical attention.
A second person has already been arrested in connection with the child’s death.
That person was identified as Matthew Wayne Christian, 20.
Naked photos of the victim were found on Christian’s phone.
Christian admitted to being in a sexual relationship with the child.
He also faces charges of aggravated manslaughter, as well as charges of child pornography.
