MODESTO (KRON)—A man from Modesto has been arrested Wednesday morning for several molestation charges after being accused of sexually abusing a 14-year-old boy in his home for a year.
Detectives began their investigation last week after receiving a report three years ago that 50-year-old Carlos Loya molested his former karate student.
The student was 14 years old at the time went to Loya’s home several times during that period. Police believe that is where the molestation happened.
Loya was booked into Stanislaus County Jail on continuous sexual abuse of a minorw, sodomy, child molestation and oral copulation.
