HAYWARD (KRON) — A man who was missing and at ‘at risk’ in Hayward has been found safe and sound, and in good health, according to Hayward police.
Santiago Aguilar-Rios was reported missing by his family earlier this morning. The matter was even more urgent because Aguilar suffers from a medical condition requiring medication and often gets confused.
He had called his family from his cell phone on Friday around 7:30 p.m., stating he was lost and at a Jack in the Box.
Police were able to locate his cell phone, but Mr. Aguilar-Rios was no where to be found.
A gracious business owner in the industrial area of Hayward found him and helped him contact his family.
The business owner gave him a cup of coffee while he waited to be picked up.
