A hiker reported missing in California’s Kings Canyon National Park during the weekend has been found alive.

A brief park press release issued Sunday says 63-year-old Diane Salmon of Lafayette, California, was seen by other hikers en route to the South Lake Trailhead in the Inyo National Forest and she walked out with them.

She had last been seen Friday in a wilderness area at an elevation of 11,000 feet (3,353 meters).

Searchers had been concerned about the approaching first rain of the season, which could bring some snow to the Sierra Nevada above 9,000 feet (2,743 meters) by Tuesday night.
