UPDATE: Police said a missing Burlingame woman was found safe Sunday afternoon in San Mateo.

Signe Durnin, 76, was found about three miles from an assisted living center where she lives, police said at 4:37 p.m. The center is near Myrtle Road and Burlingame Avenue.

Durnin had been missing since 9:50 a.m. when she left the center, according to police.


BURLINGAME (KRON) — Police in Burlingame are seeking assistance from the public to locate a missing elderly woman with dementia. 76-year-old Signe Durnin was last seen Sunday morning around 9:50 a.m., leaving her assisted living facility.

Another resident saw her walking towards the exit. Durnin is being described as a white female adult that’s 5 feet tall and weighing around 147 pounds. She has gray and blond hair which was last seen up in a bun. She was last seen wearing a pink cotton sweater, light blue jeans, and dark framed glasses.
