UPDATE: Nicholas Ryan was found safe in Redwood City.
SUNNYVALE (BCN) — A 72-year-old man with Alzheimer’s disease has been missing from his Sunnyvale home since Sunday night, according to the city’s Department of Public Safety.
Nicholas Ryan was last seen on foot leaving around 9:40 p.m. from his home in the 1600 block of Longspur Avenue, about two blocks west of South Wolfe Road, public safety officials said.
Investigators don’t know which direction Ryan went or where he may be going. He is described as a white man standing about 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 190 pounds, public safety officials said.
He was last seen in a gray Nike T-shirt, plaid shorts and black tennis shoes, public safety officials said.
Ryan, who’s considered at-risk, doesn’t have his medication to treat his Alzheimer’s disease and high blood pressure, according to public safety officials.
