Milpitas police arrest suspects for stolen property, narcotics

MILPITAS (KRON) — Milpitas police have arrested or cited four San Jose residents for stolen property and narcotics on Jul. 5, according to Sgt. Mathew Miller.

Miller said at around 11:15 p.m., officers saw the suspect vehicle, a black Dodge Durango, backed into a parking stall at the Embassy Suites at 910 E. Calaveras Blvd. When officers approached the four suspects inside the car, they found one of the suspects had a felony warrant for his arrest for a probation violation.

Police searched the car and found a backpack with a stolen wallet inside, a California driver’s license, and a Costco card belonging to someone else.

“It was later determined the female was the victim of a strong-armed robbery that occurred on June 21, 2016 in San Jose,” Miller said.

The suspects have been identified as 34-year old Brandon White, 35-year-old Sean Finn, 31-year-old Santana Roa and 35-year-old Jamie Rutherford.

“White, Finn, Roa and Rutherford could not explain how the three items ended up inside the vehicle. Brandon White was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail for possession of a controlled substance, possession of stolen property, providing false information to an officer and his warrant,” Miller said.

White was arrested for possessing methamphetamine.

Finn had a felony warrant for a probation violation and had two separate California driver’s licenses, which he said he found a week earlier, police said.

Roa was also arrested for possessing methamphetamine.

Finn was booked into Santa Clara County Jail for having stolen property, misappropriation of found property, and his warrant.

Roa was cited for having a controlled substance and having stolen property, but she was later released.

Rutherford was cited and released for possession of stolen property.
