MILPITAS (KRON) — Milpitas police have busted a man for stealing a motorcycle.

Officers spotted a motorcycle, a 2008 Honda CBR 600 at around 11:38 p.m. in the parking lot of an Americas Best Value Inn at 485 S. Main St. on Tuesday, police said. When they ran the plate, it came back as stolen out of San Jose.

They then staked it out and saw 28-year-old Andrew Lamar, of Campbell, get on the bike and arrested him, according to police.

Lamar was on active parole for burglary and had a felony arrest warrant for burglary.

Investigators said they found a screwdriver on him that they said was used to start the motorcycle.

Lamar was booked into Santa Clara County Jail on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of burglary tools, violation of his parole, and the warrant.
