MILLBRAE (KRON) — Millions of people get concussions while participating in competitive sports each year. A lot of those injuries go unreported, which could mean nothing is done to address the injury.

A Millbrae family has started the One Hit Away Foundation that they hope will educate people who may be dealing with concussion injuries.

It all started after their son got a concussion while playing college football. The injury was so bad, they had to pull him out of school.

That’s when they learned there was a lot more that could be done for people dealing with brain traumas, and they’re trying to spread the word.
