MILL VALLEY (KRON) — An outage in the Mill Valley area has left about 850 customers with power on Tuesday afternoon, according to a PG&E spokeswoman.
The outage first was reported at around 2:48 p.m. and at first affected about 2,900 customers, PG&E spokeswoman Megan McFarland said.
As of about 3:25 p.m., about 2,050 customers had their power restored. Most of those customers are in Mill Valley, McFarland said.
Currently, around 1,500 customers are still without power. The majority of those customers are in Belvedere and Tiburon, according to McFarland.
The outage may have originated at a substation in Mill Valley.
PG&E crews are at the scene on Tuesday afternoon trying to determine what caused the outage.
Power is expected to be restored at around 6 p.m., according to the PG&E website.Bay City News contributed to this report
