Men accused of torturing co-worker at hotel due in court

COLONIE, N.Y. (WTEN) – Four men accused of abducting and attacking a co-worker at a local hotel are expected in court on Friday.

Mark Skaggs, Michael Grimmett, Dallas Foxs, and Shane McAllister all face kidnapping, gang assault, and attempted assault charges.

Police say the incident happened at the Days Inn on Albany Shaker Road in Colonie on Sunday, June 5. The victim was punched, kicked, stabbed, and was bitten. He had cuts all over his body, including his genital area.

“The main crux of the story is that the suspects were not happy with him about his work ethic, and also some phone calls that he made back to West Virginia to their family about things that they were doing in this area,” Colonie Police Lt. Bob Winn said. “It appears the assault was retribution for those actions by the victim.”
