MARINA (BCN) — Officers arrested a woman last month, suspected of committing multiple thefts at a Target store in Marina, police said Wednesday.
On April 29, around 1:30 p.m., security staff at the Target at 133 General Stilwell Drive spotted Kayla Potter, whom they recognized from previous thefts that had occurred at the store, according to police.
Officers responded to the store and detained Potter as she tried to flee.
After an investigation, Potter was identified as a suspect who had committed several thefts at the Target store, police said.
During the investigation, officers discovered that other suspects were involved in similar thefts, in which suspects would steal video games and then sell them to other retail businesses for money, according to police.
Officers arrested Potter on suspicion of committing four counts of burglary and violating probation.
Police are continuing to investigate the thefts and to identify anyone involved in similar crimes, police said.
