PETALUMA (BCN) — Petaluma police on Saturday released photos of a suspect in a car burglary that happened late last month.

On Feb. 25 at approximately 4 p.m., officers responded to a report of a car burglarized at the South McDowell Boulevard extension parking lot at Lakeville Highway, police said. The victim parked their car at the lot and went to work earlier that day at about 9 a.m., according to police.

Before discovering the burglary, the victim received a call from their bank about purchases with a bank card at local businesses, police said. Shortly after 4 p.m., the victim left work to go home and found a window of the car was smashed, according to police. The victim was unable to find a purse that they had left on the floor board of the vehicle, police said.

Investigators were able to contact the businesses where the suspect made transactions with the bank card, according to police. The released photos show the suspect at a Target store in Petaluma at 401 Kenilworth Drive, police said.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect is asked to call Petaluma Police Investigator Clare Torina at (707) 781-1286 and reference case number 15-1086.
