Police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide after a man and a woman were found dead in a home in Petaluma Thursday.
Officers responded to a residence in the 800 block of Echo Court at around 4 p.m. on a report of two possible dead bodies, according to the Petaluma Police Department.
Police found the bodies of a man and a woman who were shot inside the home.
An investigation revealed that the incident appears to have been a murder-suicide, according to police.
The Petaluma Police Department is working with the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Coroner’s Office to identify the involved subjects and confirm their relationship.
Police say they are not looking for any suspects and there is no threat to the surrounding neighborhood.
