SAN BRUNO (BCN) — Police arrested a 19-year-old man in San Bruno on Monday after witnesses reported seeing him act suspiciously with a knife at a city park.
Officers responded to a municipal park at 10:17 a.m. Monday to find a suspect later identified as Richard Vaneso, of San Bruno, with a large sheathed knife on his side.
Vaneso allegedly gave a false name to the officers.
When searched he was allegedly found to be in possession of additional knives that were concealed, concentrated cannabis, paraphernalia and an identification bracelet from the San Mateo County Jail with his real name.
Vaneso attempted to flee, but was arrested on outstanding warrants. He was also arrested on suspicion of giving a false name to police, possession of paraphernalia, possession of cannabis concentrates and resisting arrest.
