SARATOGA (BCN) — A suspect who was arrested earlier today for allegedly hitting and injuring two Labrador Retrievers who had to put sleep has been identified as 44-year-old Christopher James Iles, a sheriff’s spokesman said tonight.

Iles, who allegedly was driving a Ford truck, is being held on suspicion of felony hit-and-run for the collision at 8:30 a.m. Friday at Dagmar Drive and Holiday Court, spokesman James Jensen said.

A Saratoga woman was walking the dogs Sadie and Chudley when the truck hit them and dragged them.

The woman was also dragged along the ground as she held onto a leash, according to deputies.

The woman suffered moderate injuries and was taken to a hospital.
