SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly robbing a San Bruno store with a table leg, according to San Bruno police.
Officers responded to the Tanforan Mall around 11:04 a.m. in response to call about a robbery, police said. Callers told them that a man armed with some type of bat had stolen items from a store in the mall.
The suspect was identified as Marcel Criner, 49, of Pittsburg. Criner was arrested at the scene on suspicion of robbery, possession of narcotics, and on outstanding warrants, police said.
Police said Criner took merchandise from the store, and threatened employees with a table leg as he ran away.
This is one of many recent robberies in San Bruno.
