TAMPA, FL (WFLA) – Police have arrested a Florida man and his 17-year-old son for allegedly having over $60,000 worth of heroin in their possession.
Deputies say they executed a search warrant at the apartment of Matthew Zimmerman, and his son 17-year-old Logan Zimmerman, at 6204 Paddock Glen Drive in Tampa on Tuesday, as well as a search warrant at a storage unit at 5404 Waters Avenue West.
In those locations, deputies say they seized 11.5 ounces of heroin, $7,677 in cash, a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Officials say the street value of the heroin is estimated at over $60,000.
Zimmerman has been charged with two counts of trafficking in heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. His son was also arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia.
