SAN ANSELMO (KRON) — The Central Marin Police Authority have arrested a man suspected of exposing himself to two girls in San Anselmo in November, police said on Facebook Thursday.
At around 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 18, two 12-year-old girls were walking on Broadmoor Avenue when a man drove up to them in a silver car, police said. When he asked for directions, one of the girls saw him exposing himself and appearing to masturbate, according to authorities.
The girls then ran to Sir Francis Drake High School and alerted school staff.
“Detectives have worked extensively on the case and a suspect was developed. A photo lineup was shown to the victim today and she picked out a photo of the man that she saw in the car,” police said on Facebook.
Authorities arrested 27-year-old Miguel Silverio on Thursday night at his home on La Brea Way in unincorporated San Rafael. He is employed at a restaurant in Larkspur’s Marin Country Mart.
Police said this crime is similar to one that happened earlier this week. At around 4 p.m. on Monday, a 13-year-old girl was walking on Saunders Avenue when a man drove up to her and asked for directions, authorities said.
The girl told police she could see him exposing his genitals and fondling himself. The girl then ran to a friend’s house and called the police.
“The investigation of Monday’s crime is continuing as investigators are reviewing more evidence. Since Monday’s incident, students at Drake High School have been very vigilant about watching for the suspect vehicle. The car was observed in the vicinity of the school a couple of times this week,” police said on Facebook.
Silverio was booked into Marin County Jail on two counts of indecent exposure.
His bail was set at $10,000.
