SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) — A 20-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries Monday afternoon in a traffic collision near San Francisco’s Civic Center Plaza.
Around 4:10 p.m., officers responded to a report of a traffic collision in the 300 block of McAllister Street, according to police.
A vehicle was driving west on McAllister Street and attempted to make a left-turn in the middle of the block to enter a parking garage, when it was struck on the side by another vehicle traveling east on McAllister Street, police said.
The man in the vehicle that tried to make a left turn suffered serious injuries, including a fractured pelvis, multiple long bone fractures, as well as multiple fractures to his arm. He was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The 42-year-old man in the vehicle that was heading east was uninjured. He remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, police spokesman Albie Esparza said.
