A stabbing suspect is in custody after the victim’s friends chased him down and hit him in the head with a bat Monday in San Francisco, according to San Francisco Police Department.

Around 6:30 p.m. a 30-year-old man was stabbed in the stomach during an altercation in the area of 16th and Mission streets, police said.

The suspect allegedly fled the scene, but was chased down by the victim’s two friends.

The friends reportedly hit the suspect in the head with a bat, and police were able to arrest him.

Police say he is a 45-50 year-old man.

Both the victims and suspect were taken to the hospital for treatment.

No one suffered life-threatening injuries.
