Police are looking for a man who allegedly stole guns and made threats to kill people and law enforcement in San Francisco.

At around 10:14 p.m. Wednesday, officers with the San Jose Police Department responded to a report of a burglary in the 1600 block of Husted Avenue.

Police say the suspect, Dustin Hamilton, stole firearms from the residence and made threats to kill people.

KRON4’s Rob Fladeboe has learned the house belonged to Hamilton’s parents.

Fladeboe also learned that Hamilton has a long history of drug use and has been homeless for ten years.

The San Jose Police Department immediately notified the San Francisco Police Department. Both agencies are actively looking for the 44-year-old suspect.

Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous. Call 911 immediately if you see him.

Hamilton is 6 feet tall, weighs 145 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.

San Jose PD detectives obtained a felony arrest warrant for Hamilton for Burglary, Threats & Firearms Possession.

In addition, Hamilton has two outstanding felony warrants out of San Francisco for Assault and Vandalism.

Dispatch audio released on Thursday indicated Hamilton was off his medication and is schizophrenic.

The audio also revealed he stole a 12-gauge shotgun and a revolver from his parents’ home.

Also, he left a 20-page manifesto, threatening to kill as many people as he can on Delancy Street in San Francisco, the audio said.
