SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) — A 43-year-old man was shot near University of San Francisco on Saturday afternoon, police said.

The shooting was reported around 1:15 p.m. Saturday in the area of Arguello Boulevard and Balboa Street, just west of the USF campus, according to police.

Officers arrived to find the victim had been shot in the abdomen. He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for his injuries which were not considered life-threatening, police said.

No arrests had been made in the case and a detailed description of the suspect was not available as of Monday morning, according to police.
