Man shot in leg near I-880 in Oakland

OAKLAND (KRON) — A man was shot in the leg in Oakland near an Interstate Highway 880 overpass early Thursday morning, police said.

The gunfire was reported at 2:41 a.m. in the 500 block of Brush Street, police said.

The man was taken to a hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg. He was reported to be in stable condition.

There is a large homeless encampment in the area he was shot, police said.
