SAN FRANCISCO (KRON)—A San Francisco man has been sentenced to 97 months and one day in prison after pleading guilty to assaulting someone helping a federal officer and brandishing a firearm, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

Donnie Bell, 34, confessed to meeting two people at a gas station and later learned that they were special agents to the U.S. Department of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

Bell then went into the back seat of the agents’ car and brandished a firearm in a way that made agents fear for their lives.

Bell was charged with one count of brandishing a firearm and one count of assaulting on someone assisting a federal officer or employee while conducting duties.

He pleaded guilty to both counts. He has also been sentenced to a five-year supervised release after he gets out of prison.
